The Oakland Raiders worked out quarterback JaMarcus Russell before listing him inactive against the Carolina Panthers. “We just wanted him to feel good,” quarterbacks coach Lasta Huvovich said. “We told him he had fantasy value as well, but that we wanted to ’save’ him for a playoff situation. He seemed to buy it.”
